Ian is the founder of EAS, establishing the company on his vision a belief in the transformative power of the cloud to change the way almost all business is done globally. This vision, coupled with a talented leadership team, drives the execution of a solutions ecosystem that support services in high demand across virtually all sectors. A critical element of his vision is the value that will be created as VAR and ISV players help re-tool hundreds of thousands of businesses for the cloud, and then help them execute on new models. This market activity will generate just as much innovation as it will capital, and EAS intends to capture as much of that innovation as it can in its solutions and in guiding EAS Investments, LP, in company selection.

Ian is experienced in Management consulting with more than 22 years experience working with clients, most of them served by Ian in an expansive international footprint. He has strong skills as an executive, functioning at all levels, including operational client service, senior management, and board level.

Ian has run international consulting practices and software companies and has built, integrated, and led organizations with multi-million dollar P&Ls. He has a reputation for excellence in his executive program and project management skills.

Ian has broad knowledge across multiple industries and has extensive experience in selling IT related business solutions and managing full lifecycle solutions.

His formative years of consulting were with Ernst & Young and Deloitte. Ian was part of a management team for SAP consulting for Europe, Middle East and Africa comprising 4,400 consultants across 22 countries with an external revenue of $2.4 billion dollars. He was SAPIENT’s European SAP practice leader covering England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Sweden and Netherlands.

Ian was also the Chairman and CEO of BAP Global Solutions, Ltd., headquartered in London with offices in San Diego, Boston, Singapore and Bangalore. BAP s software was awarded a Cool Vendor Award by Gartner in 2008 with their software being noted as an emerging trend.

Ian completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the Harvard Business School. Previously, Grant-Smith attended much of the global executive MBA from TRIUM (globally ranked #4 program, Financial Times), a joint program of New York University-Stern, the Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris, and the London School of Economics, before stepping out for personal reasons. Ian completed MAP at WITS Business School and a Computer Science Diploma with Honors from Boston House College in South Africa. Ian completed a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of South Africa. Ian holds a PMP certification for project management and CPIM certification in production planning.

Ian has been a guest speaker for Gartner around the world. He has lectured part time at the University of California-Irvine on operations management in their MBA program for several years. He also has been a guest speaker at several postgraduate programs. Ian is a committed Rotarian and enjoys participating in humanitarian projects.

Kevin Cameron

Kevin Cameron has extensive experience in information systems and technology with more than 20 years experience. In his work with United Health Group, Ceridian, SHPS, and eBenX, his emphasis has been on developing high-performance batch processing and Web software to manage and manipulate millions of transactions per hour, facilitating the flow of payment of healthcare benefits between healthcare providers, insurance companies, employers, and individual employees. He was a strategic member of a small select team that launched eBenX, an electronic benefits administrator, leading it from start-up to IPO to become the most successful IPO of any Minnesota company to that date. Initially, he was tasked with creating and managing database administration, financial systems, and computer operations. His success at innovating and designing high volume transaction systems led to his promotion to Director of Application Engineering and Architecture. He was instrumental in taking the company public. When eBenX was purchased by SHPS, they promoted him to the position of VP of Engineering and Architecture with world-wide responsibilities. As Senior Director of Application Development for Ceridian which does payroll processing and employee benefits administration, he managed software applications consisting of 244 systems spanning 44 technologies. To simplify development and system maintenance, he led the implementation of a new integration architecture that allowed development in a single programming language and system architecture across multiple existing legacy systems and technology platforms. Kevin has a breadth of experience and is committed to humanitarian projects too.

Srinivasan Satagopan

Sri has about 20 years IT experience and has work across multiple disciplines in India. He started his career with the leading bank in India and moved on to IT enabled services before taking over as a CEO in Ecotech in the year 2001. He has successfully designed / architected several ideas into successful web portals and business models. He is a natural leader, and a strong believer of Collaborative progress and universal benefit. He has lived in the US and parts of Europe, and adds value in managing cross-cultural issues. He has helped IT and Non-IT companies from US and Europe in setting up development centres and in identifying partners in India. He is on the board of different companies on an advisory capacity and offers immense value in terms of setting up processes, overseeing Cost benefits of the operation, and setting up corrective measures as required.

Paul Ward



VP Finance and Investments (Board Member, Advisory Board Member and Management Team Member)

Paul is an investment banker who leads Clarety Global Investments, Clarety Capital, and Clarety Explorer, all structured to provide strong downside risk protection even in risky investments. He has provided quantitative and strategic advisory to Global 1000 companies, and is an international expert on customer value and market entry strategies. He has been a guest lecturer in the financial, operational, social, and technological aspects of customer experience management at the Robert H. Smith School of Business (University of Maryland), and the American University business school. He also has presented on reputational risk management at the Hautes Etudes Commerciales-Paris, linking negative reputational events with public market equity underperformance.

He is fluent in structuring companies, fund design, and active management strategies for ventures to reduce portfolio risk and prepare entities for sale. He has extensive knowledge of valuation, LBO/MBO, interpretation of operational/leverage ratios, revolver modeling, sensitivity analysis, M&A strategic analysis that includes synergy break-even as well as integration of total lifetime customer value with buy-side and sell-side transaction pricing and support.

Paul plays an instrumental role in organizing and funding EAS Investments, LP, as a world class hedge fund that will create value for LP investors interested in cloud company investments, high returns, and very low downside risk. Paul will also provide key strategic services to EAS Group and its affiliate companies through Clarety Global Investments, LLC.

Paul has his global executive MBA from TRIUM (globally ranked #4 program, Financial Times), a joint program of New York University-Stern, the Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris, and the London School of Economics. He is trained in investment banking in part through the Investment Banking Institute, Paul also has a B.S. (Mathematics) from Davidson College.

Paul Danchik



VP Human Resources and Non Profit (Board Member, Advisory Board Member and Management Team Member)

Paul Danchik retired in 2003 as Senior Vice President of Warner Media Services, a division of Time Warner, Inc. with over 30 years experience. Mr. Danchik was a member of the Executive Management Team of Warner Media Services and was responsible for their Consumer Products Business unit. Mr. Danchik began his career with Ivy Hill Packaging in 1973, which was acquired by Time Warner, Inc. in 1989. Mr. Danchik also serves as a consultant to Acres of Love, a non-profit organization currently operating twenty homes licensed in the Republic of South Africa for care of abandoned children living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Paul serves as board member (non executive director) for Cornerstone Real Estate Funds.
